I had the joy of documenting Odin not once, but twice while he was still a newborn, this time he came to my studio in El Cajon for portraits with his big sister. These two sweethearts are the typical first and second children.
Big sister loves her baby brother fiercely, but then is so over it when he starts crying during their photo session! Despite the sibling tension, we managed to capture some adorable shots of them together and also with their mama during this quick session.
The dynamic between siblings is so special, I always love having the opportunity to document those fresh relationships. Every first time big sibling handles it a little differently and I find that intriguing. Odin is over a month old in these photos which was a great time to pose him with his sister because he was a little more sturdy and she had had more experience holding him by then. I usually recommend photographing newborns before they are 10 days old, but I also always say that there is never a bad time to document kids with portraits. They are always changing and every stage is a beautiful memory to document and treasure.
